Professional Development
The Southwest Council is approved by the New Jersey Addiction Professionals Certification Board to provide full LCADC/CADC Workshop credits. We are also approved to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs). These CEU credits provide the required professional development hours for licensed and certified professionals. Trainings & Workshops
The Southwest Council, Inc. provides educational services for professionals, businesses, and community groups. These trainings and workshops are available to increase awareness of factors leading to substance abuse and train individuals on prevention strategies.

Supervised Internships
The Southwest Council also provides supervised internships for those working towards their Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), or Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) credential. Internships allow you to gain the necessary experience hours toward becoming a CADC, LCADC, or CPS. Please send us your resume and letter of interest to be considered for an internship position at the agency.
